Centurion Congratulates Leeds Rhinos On Challenge Cup Win

by Leana Kell

Centurion would like to congratulate the Leeds Rhinos on their triumphant Challenge Cup win which took place over the August bank holiday weekend.

Centurion has been the official equipment suppliers to the Leeds Rhinos for more than 10 years, and we were delighted to witness the team's epic win against Hull KR at Wembley Stadium, marking the team's biggest ever winning margin in the Challenge Cup Final.

The Rhinos were hoping to make the most of their experience a year earlier when they beat the Castleford Tigers by 23-10, and thanks to key players such as Tom Briscoe, they did not disappoint.

In front of 80,140 spectators, winger, Tom Briscoe, re-wrote record books to become the first man to score five tries in the Challenge Cup, and subsequently lifted the prestigious Lance Todd Trophy as man of the match.

Despite Hull KR's best attempts to build pressure on the Rhinos, their ruthless passage of play took the game to excitingly new levels.

With a big lead in the second half and an epic try from Brad Singleton, who made his first appearance at Wembley, and Sinfield, who kicked his seventh goal of the game in the very last few minutes of play, Leeds Rhinos went on to secure a 50-0 victory.

The record score in a Challenge Cup final remains Leeds' own 52-16 win over London Broncos at the old Wembley Stadium back in 1999.

We'd like to wish Leeds Rhinos continued success for the remainder of the season!
